Cricut's new Smart Iron-on is an amazing new product. No need to use a mat with these bad boys. You can cut up to 4 FEET long using Smart Iron-On, regular or specialty. Cool, huh?

If you find yourself making t-shirts, or anything having to do with iron on, this is going to make your life a whole lot easier and save you lots of time!

Paper! We all know paper is my favorite. Cricut really bumped it up a notch with Smart Paper. Not only does it cut up to 11.2 in without a mat, it has adhesive backing so no glue required! Again, making crafting easier, and more efficient.

New and Helpful Products

Introducing: Cricut's Roll Holder! This new addition to the Cricut family is so helpful! Although having the Roll Holder isn't required, it's highly recommended. It keeps long, bulky, rolls together and lined up and in place for the perfect cut.

It even comes with a built in trimmer to make for a precise line, every time. Holder fits rolls of Cricut Smart Materials™ from 4–75 ft.

Meet the newest Portable Trimmer!

Why a new trimmer you ask? Because of the new features of larger cuts using Smart Materials, Smart Materials are 13in wide, which makes them too wide for the original trimmer. This trimmer is precise has an easy-glide blade and works great with vinyl, iron-on, paper, Smart Materials, and more.

This is the perfect companion for your Cricut. Oh, did you know that there's an arm on the left that extends for an easier measurements? The original trimmer also has this.

Cricut Maker 3 and Explore 3 Q&A

Behind the Cut: Before I get into written Q&A, I'd love to share this video with you - https://youtu.be/0T_DlklaXKI I had the awesome opportunity to speak with two Cricut Employees, Anna Rose Johnson, Senior Platform Marketing Manager and Jeremy Crystal, VP of Hardware Engineering questions about the new machines! You'll hear a lot about the behind the scenes and get answers to some of your questions!

Q: How much do they cost?

A: They are the same price as the original machines were released more than 4 years ago, $299 and $399.

Q: Do I get a discount on machines?

A: Yes, if you are a Cricut Access Member, you get 10% off and if you are a Premium Member, you get 10% off but also free shipping over $50 and 20% off materials. Get Premium Access here - http://shrsl.com/2k9v2 Canada Access here - http://shrsl.com/2k9zx

Q: Can I make Payments?

A: Yes, you can make payment son orders of $200 or more. Just check out with Affirm when making your purchase.

Q: Can I use a mat with the new machines?

A: Yes, the new machines can use a mat. New machines can do everything the original machines can do, only faster, more accurate, and much more.

Q: What are Smart materials?

A: They are materials that can be loaded in to the Explore 3 and the Maker 3 without a mat. Not using a mat makes crafting easier and faster and the Smart materials make the cuts even faster.

Q: Can I use Smart materials on the machines I have now?

A: You might be able too, but it’s not recommended. Cricut wants you to have the best experience and the original machines were not made for Smart materials. You could try it, but you’d probably end up wasting a lot of vinyl like I did in this video - https://youtu.be/sk7xDRLtzB8 It’s really not faster and you can not cut it any longer than with a mat.

Q: How long can I cut on the Maker 3 and Explore 3?

A: You can cut a single image up to 12 ft.

Q: How do I use Smart Vinyl?

A: There are written instructions here - http://shrsl.com/30len

Q: How fast does Cricut Explore 3 and Maker 3 cut?

A: On Smart Materials, Cricut Explore 3 can cut two times faster than the Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore Air 2's faster modes. Cricut Explore 3 can cut up to 8 in. per second on the X axis, 8 in. per second on the Y axis, and has 100 in. per second squared acceleration.

Q: Why did Cricut drop "Air" from the Explore? Can it no longer connect via Bluetooth?

A: Bluetooth connectivity has become standard for all new Cricut cutting machines. It was no longer necessary to call it out in the product's name.

Q: Can I use other brands of vinyl or iron-on without a mat?

A: You can use other brands of materials, but you will need to place them on a mat.

Q: Do I need to buy the Cricut Roll Holder if I plan on using longer rolls of material?

A: Cricut Explore 3 and Maker 3 are designed to work with Smart Material rolls up to 75 ft right out of the box. While not required, Cricut Roll Holder is extremely helpful in managing bulky, long rolls, keeping them in place and perfectly aligned for long cuts.

Q: How do I use the Roll Holder?

A: You can see that here - http://shrsl.com/304id

Q: What happened to Maker 2?

A: Explore Air 2 was the most recent Cricut Explore machine. Because the technological advances for Maker 3 and Explore 3 are similar, Cricut aligned the names to communicate those similarities.
